Ground Leasing
Since 1980, ADK&A has been actively involved in negotiating long term ground leases, most particularly, participatory ground leasing for public agencies in major redevelopment and asset management transactions. ADK&A frequently plays the role of key financial advisor, strategist, and negotiator for such engagements.
Allan Kotin has been a key member of lease negotiating teams on several of the largest ground lease transactions in Southern California, including Marina City Club at Marina del Rey, Hollywood Highland in Hollywood, Paseo Nuevo Shopping Center in Santa Barbara, Monterey Marketplace in Rancho Mirage, and hotel ground leases in Santa Monica and Marina del Rey.
In addition, Allan Kotin has lectured on the topic of participatory ground leasing for several industry associations and as a regular part of his teaching work.
